A belated Father's Day thank you
Father's Day has come and gone, but I don't think it's ever too late to say "thank you."
This guy, my husband, he doesn't ask for a lot. But he gives to his girls every day, and sometimes that is easy to overlook. He doesn't complain about diaper duty (ok, sometimes, but only for the extra stinky ones) or cleaning up a giant mess our girl just figured out to make. He doesn't mention the fact that he didn't get a moment to himself because when he wasn't playing with our daughter, he was working around the house. It's up to me to just notice. And sometimes I'm not very good at that.
So here is a big thank you to the love of my life, and the love of my daughter's. Thank you for being the strong, fun, supportive best friend that stands by me through the good and bad. And thank you for being the kind, patient, goofy dad that makes our daughter's face light up and giggles carry through the house.
These two… my heart is full!
And here's to our daughter. Thank you for bringing out the best in your dad. I fell in love with him all over again when I watched him fall head over heels in love with you.
